Three weekends in October 2026
ARTISTS OPEN HOUSES
East Kent Artists’ Open Houses is an annual event in which artists open their own houses to the public for three consecutive weekends. The event takes place in October and coincides with two of the three weekends of the Canterbury Festival. The experience of visiting an Open House is very different to a Gallery visit. Visitors to the houses will experience a myriad of diverse artworks, and can engage directly in conversations with the artists about their work.
Entry to the Houses is free, and Houses are located across nine different areas of East Kent with a trail map for each area. Houses are open 10am-5pm.
